We have created Cyleina with the intention of offering hand made soaps in a traditional (cold process) way with raw materials coming from a company who is a member of organic certification center of the Philippines(a private/independent org). Cyleina ingredients' supplier is from nueva ecija, Gratia Plena. And we have been in the soap business (export) for 5 years now, and the brand cyleina has been in the market for 2 years. I'm happy to say that most of our clients today have been using Cyleina since its conception. And we are still getting positive remarks from our valued clients.We do not put preservatives in our soaps. The science of soap making can be very complex, but I'll try to explain to you in the simplest way that i can for your benefit. Basic principle of soap is alkali plus fat. Or lye mixed with oil. This combination is the most basic formula for soap, and this mixture can make things (and skin) clean. But of course with the advent of technology and research, we(soap industry) have discovered what ingredients would be more beneficial for the human skin.For some reason, oil and lye mixture do not really expire or be a cause for bacterial growth because there is no water content in the soap anymore. Cyleina soaps do expire because of the efficacy of the active ingredients of the soaps (papain enzyme, calamansi extract,and more and the ingredients such as oats and rice bran. It is advised to use the soaps within 6 months for best efficacy. but as far as expiration of efficacy is concern, black pearl can be stored and use for 1-1.5 years, oatmeal and rice bran 6 months, the rest best used before 1 year.If you have noticed our soaps are soft, we don’t even put chemical hardeners and fillers. Thus, you can use it up until its last inch. I don’t think that SLES is used in making solid soaps. It is only used in liquid body wash, dishwashing liquid, foot soak, and shampoo. We don’t use mineral oil either, it does not give a good lathering to the soap and it makes the soap hard.By the way if you have noticed, our moisturizers are very natural too, 100% pure grape seed oil and peruvian cacao (solid body lotion), we do not endorse cream or liquid lotion (because this has water content and is a breeding ground for bacteria that is why preservatives are a must in the creation of cream and lotion).Please do not assume that cyleina soaps are medication products that will cure your skin irritation. Cyleina soaps will not guarantee that it will completely eradicate skin problems. It is still best for you to consult your dermatologist who can give your skin a thorough check up and investigation.
